Raj Kamal (b. 1949) did his M.Sc. at the age of 17, published his first research
paper in a UK journal at the age of 18, and his first program, written in FORTRAN
that ran at ICT 1904, also at the age of 18 and completed his Ph.D. from the Indian
Institute of Technology Delhi, at 22. He has unique distinction of being Professor
in five disciplines: Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology,
Electronics and Communication Engineering and Physics, guiding Ph.D.s in these disciplines.
He has successfully guided 19 Ph.Ds in research centers in Computer Science, Electronics
and Communication Engineering, Energy and Physics. He is internationally recognized for
thirteen text books (refer www.rajkamal.org) for students of Computer, Electronics, Communication
and Information Technology, which includes books on Big Data Analytics, Internet of Things, Embedded Systems and Internet and Web
technologies published from McGraw-Hill India, McGraw-Hill China, McGraw-Hill South Korea,
McGraw-Hill Singapore, McGraw-Hill U.S.A. Computer Architecture Schaum Series TMH Adaptation, Mobile Computing
Oxford Univ. Press and Microcontroller- Pearson Education. He has 155 research publications to his
credit in journals and conferences of both international and national repute that includes latest
one in “IEEE Transactions in Industrial Electronics” in Vehicular Technology.
He has 52 years of experience in research and teaching since the age of 18. He has also been
to Uppsala University, Uppsala, Sweden a world class university for post doctoral studies.
He is presently, Professor of CSE/ECE at Prestige Institute of Engineering Management and Research, Indore.
He is former Vice Chancellor (total period one and half years) Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya and has
served Devi Ahilya Vishwavidyalaya, Indore for 25 years as Senior Professor in Schools of Computer Sciences,
Electronics and Information technology. He has been also been faculty with Medi-Caps University, Indore (3 yrs 4 m), Punjabi University,
Patiala, Punjab, (17 years) Kalasalingam University, Srivilliputtur, Tamilnadu (2 years) and Guru Nanak Engineering
college, Ibrahimpattam, Hyderabad, Andhra Pradesh (1 year).
